ROBIN SCHWARTZ
LOCATION: Exterior walls of Peck’s Market, 4897 NY-52.
Robin Schwartz is an award-winning photographer whose work explores the relationships between people and animals. A 2016 Guggenheim Fellow in photography, Schwartz is known for her long-running series Amelia and the Animals, which follows her daughter’s encounters with animals around the world. Her photographs have appeared in The New York Times Magazine, The New Yorker, Time, and National Geographic, and are held in the collections of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Museum of Modern Art, and Smithsonian American Art Museum, among others. Her “Rescued Foxes” project, photographed at a fox rescue in Minnesota, was featured by National Geographic. EDDIE ADAMS WORKSHOP ALUMNI

Eddie Adams Workshop is a photojournalism workshop that takes place annually every October in a barn outside of Jeffersonville. The workshop is tuition free for 100 students based on the merit of their work. Faculty donate their time and come from publications and news agencies such as NYT, WSJ, Reuters, AP. There are two digital displays in town featuring the work of the 100 workshop students who covered Sullivan County in 2025 (Catskills Sales). The other digital display is the animated work of Evie McKenna, images from the Delaware Highlands Conservancy and workshop alumni.
BEN SCHNEIDER

Ben Schneider has been photographing antiques dolls for years, fascinated by the multitude of faces, expressions, clothing and hair (or lack thereof). They emit an aura of nostalgia and beauty, both familiar and unexpected, and Ben has started affectionately calling them “lovingly creepy.”
Pulitzer center
LOCATION: Located along fence at Tavern on Main
The Pulitzer Center celebrates its 20th anniversary in 2026, marking two decades of supporting journalism that brings underreported stories and global issues to wider audiences. Photojournalism has been central to its work, supporting photographers around the world whose images illuminate complex issues through human-centered storytelling. For Jeff Foto Fest, the Pulitzer Center is bringing that work closer to home with a Photoville banner featuring Pulitzer Center-supported photography, originally presented as part of the 2026 Photoville Festival in New York City. The banner will be displayed in Jeffersonville during Jeff Foto Fest, connecting local audiences with powerful visual journalism from around the world. https://pulitzercenter.org/
JONATHAN C. HYMAN
LOCATION: Windows of Ted’s Restaurant, 4896 NY-52.
Jonathan C. Hyman is a documentary photographer, photojournalist, lecturer, and independent scholar based in Smallwood, New York. His work explores American culture, public memory, memorialization, and place. He is best known for his extensive documentation of personal memorials created in response to the September 11, 2001 attacks—found on cars, barns, flags, bodies, and throughout the landscape. His work has been exhibited internationally, and he was appointed a U.S. State Department Cultural Envoy, presenting at universities in Europe. His photographs are held in the permanent collection of the National September 11 Memorial & Museum and have appeared in The New York Times, Time, and PBS NewsHour. TREY SPEEGLE STUDIO

Trey Speegle is an artist, photographer, curator, and gallery owner whose work combines painting, photography, design, and popular culture. Using one of the world’s largest collections of vintage paint-by-number paintings, Speegle creates colorful, playful works across a range of mediums. His work has been exhibited internationally and he has collaborated with brands and cultural figures including Stella McCartney, Anthropologie, Jonathan Adler, and Michelle Obama’s Partnership for a Healthy America. Speegle is the owner of Speegle Studio, the RePOP Shop, and Gallery 52 in Jeffersonville, New York, where he regularly hosts and curates exhibitions by a diverse group of artists. He also maintains a studio, artist residency, and Galeria 25 in Mérida, Mexico. For Jeff Foto Fest, Speegle is showing a group of images from his books, 80s Polaroids & More 80s Polaroids titled “Love/Lost” on the exterior of his RePop Shop & Gallery 52.”

LIBERTY HIGH SCHOOL
LOCATION: Displayed on yellow gates along Main Street
Liberty High School’s photography students earned a record-breaking 37 keys and 28 honorable mentions in this year’s Mid-Hudson Regional Scholastic Art & Writing competition. Under the guidance of photography teacher Kathleen Johansson, the students are part of a growing and accomplished photography program at Liberty High School. Participating students include Allison Vasko, Sebastian Yupanqui, Lucio Ponce Vazquez, Carlos Cruz Garzon, Misael Juarez Perez, Kourtney Perry, Cassandra Porter, Giuliana Wagner, Emma Stonick, Evelyn Molina Ax, Kelsey Hopkins, and Valeria Cruz. PAULA KELLY
LOCATION: Along fence of the Jeffersonville Bake Shop gardens.
Paula Kelly is a photographer and graphic designer based in New York City who has maintained a home in Loch Sheldrake for nearly two decades. Her photography is inspired by the Sullivan County landscape, where she frequently works at night, creating atmospheric images with long exposures under moonlight, starlight, and other illumination. Her photographs explore how darkness transforms familiar landscapes, altering color, space, and perception. Kelly’s work has been exhibited in New York City and throughout the region. She holds a BFA from SUNY Purchase and runs a New York-based graphic design practice. Her enduring connection to the Catskills continues to inspire her evocative photographs of the landscape after dark. https://kellydesignnyc.com/
KEITH THOMSON

Keith (Kafifa) Thomson has been included in many exhibitions such as The Brooklyn Public Library, Kingsborough Community College and Urban Folk Art Studios© in Brooklyn NY and Ripe Gallery in Huntington, Long Island. He has been recognized with an honorable mention in the categories “Professional” and “Conceptual” in the 2015 Fine Art Photograph Awards and Exposure Awards, having an image included in a video presentation at the Louvre in Paris. He currently divides time with the Western Catskills and Abruzzo Italy, where he is a principal in Arts In Popoli Terme.
EVIE MCKENNA

Evie McKenna is an artist and animator born near the lower Delaware River in Chester, PA, now living in New York’s western Catskills near the upper Delaware. Her prints have been exhibited at Wave Hill House, Queens Museum, Concord Museum, and Ricco-Maresca Gallery. Her films have screened internationally and at festivals like Big Eddy and Bruges. Her project explores myopia by shifting clarity and focus in botanical subjects, fusing vision onto a single plane. She’s received grants from Queens Council on the Arts and NYFA, held residencies at Yaddo and Chinati, and taught at SVA, Pratt, Brooklyn College, and more.
DR. FREDERICK A. COOK

Dr. Frederick A. Cook, the world-renowned Arctic explorer, was born in 1865, in Hortonville, right here in Sullivan County. His fame came from his claim to the discovery of the North Pole, but he was also a physician, a photographer, an ethnographer and an author. One of Dr. Cook’s books in particular, “Return from the Pole,” remains a powerful and beautifully written work that affirms the highest values of the human spirit. The Frederick Cook Society’s Executive Director, Carol Smith, will present a talk about Dr. Cook’s life, as seen through his photography.
ART SINSABAUGH

Art Sinsabaugh was an influential American photographer best known for his panoramic photographs of the American landscape. His wide-format images, often made from elevated viewpoints, transformed familiar roads, fields, towns, and industrial landscapes into carefully composed studies of space, scale, and human presence. Sinsabaugh taught photography at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign for more than three decades and influenced generations of photographers. ELISABETH SINSABAUGH

Elisabeth Sinsabaugh is a photographer, creative producer, and farmer who lives in North Branch, where her life and work are deeply connected to the land and the seasons. After a distinguished career in New York City, including serving as Head of Photography at NBC, she returned to Sullivan County and now combines farming with her photographic practice. Her Libby’s Garden project celebrates the beauty and abundance of her garden through photography. Photography is also a family legacy. Elisabeth is the daughter of acclaimed photographer Art Sinsabaugh, known for his panoramic photographs of the American landscape. SARA TERRY

Sara Terry (1955–2025) was an award-winning documentary photographer, filmmaker, journalist, and 2012 Guggenheim Fellow in Photography whose work focused on the human consequences of conflict and the long process of healing that follows. Her landmark project, Aftermath: Bosnia’s Long Road to Peace, documented life in Bosnia after the war and led her to establish The Aftermath Project, founded on the belief that “War is Only Half the Story.” Terry was connected to the Eddie Adams Workshop, where she shared her experience and mentored emerging photographers. She died in October 2025 at age 70. Her vision continues through The Aftermath Project, which supports photographers telling stories of post-conflict communities, resilience, and reconciliation. https://theaftermathproject.org/
CLAIRE ROSEN

Claire Rosen is an award-winning artist known for imaginative photography exploring the intersection of art, history, and nature. Her whimsical images often feature animals in fantastical settings, while her still lifes reimagine lush flora through a classical painterly tradition. Influenced by Beatrix Potter, natural history museums, and Dutch still-life painting, Rosen combines these traditions to explore contemporary themes and our relationship with the natural world. Her work has been exhibited internationally and featured in major publications and exhibitions. Twice named to Forbes’ 30 Under 30 for Art & Design, Rosen is also an educator, author, and Fujifilm USA brand ambassador. The Delaware Highlands Conservancy

The Delaware Highlands Conservancy is a nonprofit land trust dedicated to protecting the forests, farms, wetlands, and waters of the Upper Delaware River region. Through land conservation, education, stewardship, and community partnerships, the Conservancy works to preserve the region’s natural character and ensure that its special places remain protected for future generations. As part of its commitment to connecting people with the landscape, the Conservancy hosts an annual juried photography contest celebrating the natural beauty and diversity of the Upper Delaware region. Mirjam Evers is a photographer, creative director, and visual storyteller whose work is shaped by a passion for people, culture, and place. She is the Executive Director of the Eddie Adams Workshop, one of the photography industry’s most respected educational programs, and the founder of Photo Quest Adventures, creating immersive photography experiences around the world. Mirjam has traveled to more than 100 countries, many of them multiple times, developing a deep appreciation for authentic storytelling and cultural connection. MARK KETTENHOFEN

Mark S. Kettenhofen, for nearly 50 years, has chased light and captured life—from war zones to wildlife, Super Bowls to safaris. A former Navy photojournalist turned adventure photographer, his lens has documented history, wonder, and raw beauty. Now at the helm of Shadow Catcher Media, Mark mentors emerging talent while continuing his global photographic journey. Originally from Verona, NY, he’s spent every fall for the past 26 years in Jeffersonville, NY, traveling from Colorado. These images were taken in Kenya and Uganda while leading photo workshops.
BRIAN MOSS

Brian Moss is a photographer whose work offers an intimate look at the world of bodybuilding and fitness. In 1982, he opened Better Bodies Gym in New York City, becoming closely connected to the emerging women’s bodybuilding movement and the growth of men’s bodybuilding. After picking up a camera again in 1997, Moss began photographing leading competitors, creating candid, unguarded images that reveal the people behind the physiques—backstage, before competitions, and in private moments. His advertising photographs have become influential in shaping how bodybuilders are portrayed. Cindy Herbert is a graphic designer, local historian, and longtime contributor to the Jeffersonville community. She lives in Hortonville, where she owns Gardner & Co General Shop, a shop located in a historic building that reflects her appreciation for the area’s history and character. Cindy works closely with the Jeffersonville Area Chamber of Commerce and designs the Jeffersonville Journal, the community’s annual guide to local businesses, events, and attractions. As a historian, she is deeply interested in preserving and sharing the stories of Sullivan County and the people and places that make the region distinctive.
